The halls of the College of Engineering and IT at Al-Zahraa University for Women came alive with expressions of architectural passion, as they showcased the essence of design through a practical workshop led by the Architecture Department. The workshop, supervised by Asst. Lect. Maysoun Al-Safi, featured first-year students who actively engaged in developing their architectural drawing skills, blending modern architecture with the Islamic design elements that define the university’s unique aesthetic.
The workshop aimed to enhance the students’ capabilities in freehand drawing—a fundamental tool in architectural design—while also fostering their creative and artistic sensibilities. Through hands-on practice, the students deepened their understanding of visual art as a key element in shaping their identity as future architects.
As one of the newly established colleges at Al-Zahraa University, the College of Engineering ant IT continues to meet labor market demands by producing highly skilled graduates equipped to contribute confidently and distinctively to the country’s future and drive positive change.
