Department Overview
Communications Engineering and Mobile Computing Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women is one of the newly established engineering departments, aimed at equipping female students with expertise in advanced communication technologies and mobile computing. The department is dedicated to imparting the knowledge and skills necessary for female students to understand, design, and implement modern communication systems, as well as to develop mobile computing technologies.
Core Focus Areas of the Department:
- Communications Engineering:Encompasses the study of both wired and wireless communication systems, network design, and the development of next-generation communication technologies (5G and beyond).
- Mobile Computing:Focuses smart device applications on development, big data processing, as well as cloud computing technologies.
- Digital Security in Communications:Involves the implementation of data protection techniques designed to ensure secure transmission across mobile networks.
Duration of Study:
The academic program extends over four years, during which female students immerse themselves in a thorough curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical materials. These materials encompass essential areas such as network engineering, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Admission Requirements
The Department accepts graduates from the following branches of secondary education: • Scientific Branch (Biology and Applied sections) •Industrial Branch (Computer Studies),Computer and Information Technology (Computer Networks , Computer Assembly and Maintenance , Mobile Device Technology).
