Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in a specialized workshop focused on artificial intelligence tools and their potential role within the judicial system. The said event was under the aegis of the Presidency of the Karbala Court of Appeal. This engagement underscores the University’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of technological advancements.

The workshop was led by Dr. Harith Fadhel, a lecturer at Al-Zahraa University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiba Jabbar, Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department Head at Engineering and Information Technology Faculty. Additionally, notable attendees included Judge Ahmed Hadi, Karbala Court of Appeal President, alongside deputy presidents and judges from such various judicial branches as criminal, misdemeanor, investigative courts, as well as public prosecution.

The lecturers emphasized the critical significance of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency and functionality of the judicial system. They also explored practical strategies for integrating AI technologies and highlighted the necessity of forging partnerships between courts and universities to facilitate specialized research contributing to the modernization of the judiciary through rapid global technological changes.

It bears noting that the University stands as a leader in embracing technological evolution. Besides, it has significantly contributed to the advancement of contemporary fields through its establishment of Engineering and Information Technology Faculty.
