As part of the ongoing efforts led by the College of Engineering and Information Technology, under the auspices of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, the Department of Communications and Mobile Computing Engineering organized a scientific visit for outstanding students to the National Data Center located in the Green Zone, Baghdad.
The visit included a presentation on the “Ur Governmental Portal,” which offers a wide range of essential digital services to citizens, and the “Government Performance Indicators Platform,” aimed at building trust and enhancing transparency.
Students learned about the development and protection of these platforms through programming languages, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity systems. The tour also featured an exploration of Iraq’s central data servers, which are secured to a high standard in accordance with international security protocols.
This visit aligns with the college’s vision to familiarize students with both public and private sector work environments and to enhance their understanding of emerging technologies and digital services, thus building a comprehensive knowledge base in their fields of study.
