As part of efforts to enhance academic collaboration and develop curricula in line with modern technological advancements, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Zahraa University for Women has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Karbala.
This partnership aims to support the educational and academic journey in Iraq, ensuring that academic programs align with both local and international social needs through advanced scientific and academic initiatives.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Zahraa University, and Prof. Dr. Haider Nazem Al-Muhanna, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Karbala.
The memorandum outlines several objectives aimed at enhancing the scientific, academic, and professional capabilities of both universities, in accordance with ministerial directives focused on advancing higher education in Iraq. Key aspects of the collaboration include joint scientific research, organizing academic conferences and seminars, and faculty exchange programs to leverage expertise in specialized fields. Additionally, the agreement promotes conducting joint research and elevating academic contributions on both national and international levels, all while serving the broader community.

Al-Zahraa University for Women is among the first institutions to establish a College of Engineering and Information Technology, keeping pace with global technological advancements. This initiative contributes to strengthening Iraq’s modern and secure digital infrastructure, ensuring impactful participation in the country’s key sectors.
