Artificial Intelligence: Growing Threat to Global Cybersecurity
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghaida’ Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of Engineering and Information Technology Faculty, the Faculty, in cooperation with the Continuous Education Center, held a scientific workshop titled: “Managing Risks of Artificial Intelligence Advancements on Cybersecurity.”
The workshop was led by Lect. Dr. Hussein Jassim Mohammed who addressed the contemporary challenges posed by the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence technologies and their direct implications on the digital environment and information security. He also explained how AI systems have become integral to sectors such as security, economics, as well as education, necessitating intellectual and academic readiness to adapt with confidence and competence. The session emphasized the need to broaden knowledge about AI-related data privacy risks, strengthen academic training for students in cybersecurity, and promote scientific research aimed at developing intelligent digital defense tools.
This workshop is part of an ongoing series of scientific activities organized by the Faculty to support educational development and enhance female students’ competencies in addressing modern digital challenges. Translated by Zahra' Ala'
